Dominique Williams, 22, was arraigned Monday before Orange County Judge William DeProspo on an indictment charging him with second-degree murder, robbery, attempted robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, and conspiracy, Hoovler said in a press release. Williams is accused of killing a Newburgh man during a botched robbery on Nov. 3, 2018, in the vicinity of Liberty and Clinton streets in the city of Newburgh, the press release said.
Williams is suspected of fatally shooting the man, who was not identified, with a .32-caliber pistol, Hoovler's office said.
The press rel...ase said Williams was arraigned with his twin brother, Devin Williams, 22, also of Newburgh. The two are charged with having been part of a conspiracy to commit gunpoint robberies and possess weapons, the release said.
The indictment charges Devin Williams with the felonies of robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, and conspiracy.
The Williams brothers are charged with committing a gunpoint robbery on Nov. 1 in the vicinity of 16 Liberty St. in Newburgh, Hoovler's office said, adding that people in addition to the brothers are alleged to have been part of the conspiracy to commit robberies and possess weapons.
City of Newburgh police and the Orange County District Attorney's Office also are investigating two shootings that occurred shortly after the killing that Dominique Williams is accused of committing.
Hoovler's press release said that shortly after that shooting, a man who had been with Dominique Williams was fatally shot in the area of 319 Liberty St. in Newburgh. Dominique Williams is believed to have been shot in the arm during the same incident, the release said.

Following their arraignments, Dominique Williams was sent to Orange County Jail in lieu of a $1 million bail, while Devin Williams was sent to the jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
