Daily Freeman-8 months before

The drive is part of the county's "Dutchess Responds" initiative. The Dutchess County Government assists local childcare providers with emergency supplies through its Central Services Division, but there is still a rising need.

The Child Care Council of Dutchess and Putnam Inc. need adult-sized face masks, disinfecting wipes, paper towels, gloves, bleach and toilet paper.

Drop-off donations, by appointment only, are to be made at the Council's office at 301 Manchester Road in Poughkeepsie. Call (845) 473-4141, ext. 210, to schedule a drop-off. Those who want to donate but u...able to deliver should call the Coronavirus Hotline at (845) 486-3555 or email Senator Serino's office at serino@nysenate.gov to arrange a pickup.
