Ebral Woullard, 25, of Cairo, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23, after troopers responded to a reported stabbing on Grove Street in the town, police said.
When troopers arrived, a Cairo police officer already had Woullard in custody, state police said. He was charged by state police with the felonies of attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon, and with the misdemeanor of resisting arrest, police said,
Woullard allegedly stabbed Luis Francisco Paqui Guaman, 25, of the city Middletown, state Trooper Steve Nevel said. Guaman was treated at the scene b... Greene County paramedics and taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, where he was treated and released, police said.
Woullard was arraigned in Cairo Town Court and sent to the Albany County Jail without bail, Nevel said.
