Kingston woman, 37, injured in town of Ulster crash

The Town of Ulster Police Department said the woman, a Kingston resident whose name was not provided, was northbound on Route 9W about 2:40 p.m. in a 2011 Chevrolet when the vehicle went off the road and onto the east shoulder near the Beaver Scraps mulch and stone business, then struck a guide rail.

The vehicle continued north before striking an earth embankment, becoming airborne, striking a utility pole and eventually coming to rest in a wooded area down an embankment, police said.

Police said the woman was taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center with "limb injuries..." but they did not elaborate.
