Justin White, 30, entered his plea on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, before Orange County Court Judge Craig Stephen Brown. White admitted to felony robbery in connection with an August 2018 armed robbery of a 67-year-old Port Jervis man. In court, White also admitted locking the man in a car trunk after the robbery, Hoovler said.

White also has pleaded guilty to raping an underage girl in an unrelated case that was discovered during the robbery investigation, and he faces a total of 17 years in prison and 20 years of post-release supervision when he is sentenced for both crimes on March...5, the prosecutor said.

On Aug. 3, 2018, in the vicinity of New Jersey Avenue in Port Jervis, White and Tranelle Drake, 31, of Port Jervis, confronted the 67-year-old man and displayed what appeared to be a pistol, authorities said. They then struck the victim in the face with the weapon, stole his wallet, car keys and cellphone, and then locked him in the trunk of his car, according to a press release from Hoovler's office.

Orange County sheriff's deputies stopped the car in the village of Walden, and White and Drake were arrested. An Orange County grand jury later indicted both men for crimes including robbery and kidnapping.

During the course of their investigation of the robbery and kidnapping, police learned that White had raped a girl who was less than 15 years old, according to Hoovler's office.

White was indicted for rape by an Orange County grand jury on Sept. 17, 2019, and has pleaded guilty to felony rape, admitting he had sex with the minor between July 1 and Aug. 3, 2018, in Port Jervis, the press release states.

On Oct. 24, 2019, Drake pleaded guilty to felony robbery, admitting that he robbed the 67-year-old man with what appeared to be a firearm.
