Stone Ridge Orchard hosting 'Pooches & Pumpkins' Halloween event Oct. 24

The event at the farm, 3012 Route 213, runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free for children ages 5 and under, $5 for children ages 6 and up, and $10 for people 18 and older. 

Attendees and their pets are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes for the festivities, which will include a magic show, pumpkin painting, costume contests for kids and pets, socially distanced blanket bingo, pet photos, and visits with ducks and Balki the pig.

Costumed characters and characters from children's books will be on stage for storytime and also for distanced meet-and-greet for photos...

There also will be a daylong demonstration by the Canal Forge Blacksmiths of High Falls, and the Ulster County SPCA will be holding a dog-adoption event to benefit the shelter.

Attendees must wear masks and practice social distancing. Masks and sanitizer will be provided to those who need it.
